Welcome to the Bible Re-Write Project

Start by choosing a Book, Chapter, and Verse, or, a random one above. You are encouraged to provide an alternate verse, and may link it to any website of your choice (with some exceptions).

You may use the DELUXE VIEWER to see altered verses contextually; that is, with the 5 prior and following. While viewing with the Deluxe Viewer, you may click un-altered (black) verses to bring up the form to change them.

You may use the QUICK INDEX to see a quick list of altered verses(linked to those verses).

You may use the DATE MODIFIED INDEX to see the list of altered verses(linked to those versed) in reverse chronological order - newest changes at top!

What is this?

This is a means by which the public may express their sentiments about the most pervasive book in our society, the Holy Bible. This is the entire King James Version, in a database. Users have the ability to choose specific or random verses, and create and save their own version. Users also have the option to link their version of the verse to any URL they choose. Email addresses collected here will NOT be given or sold to any other parties. The email address is stored on the off-chance that I need to contact the author at a future date to ensure that the author receives credit for their contribution. Email addresses will NOT be posted to this or any other website.
Coming Soon: New verses submitted without an URL will have a magical link created to a random URL in the database. What a bonus.

WHAT? THIS IS BLASPHEMY!

Some may be of the opinion that this is evil or blasphemous; most notably those of the Christian or Jewish faith. They are entitled to their opinion and enjoy the freedom to NOT experience this webpage. They also have the freedom, assuming they live in the United States of America, as do I, to express whatever opinion they have in a lawful manner, as I am doing here. That said, please show some respect for the rights of others and don't harass me or any contributors.

Rules and Tips

First rule, don't abuse this.
Try to be creative. Don't sit there replacing everything with the word Fart, for example. While extremely funny, it gets old after a bit.
Try to keep new verses somewhat similar to the first. For example, if a verse is "Joseph fell into a hole.", it would be silly to replace it with "Donuts, Donuts, Donuts." In other words, if it's an action verse, try to replace it with some action. If it's a bit of wisdom, replace it with a bit of wisdom. If it's a long boring list of names, replace it with an exciting, fun list of something else.
No links to porn sites. I don't want this to serve as a link vehicle for that.
I reserve the right to remove entries as I see fit.
